CEDD

The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) is a key government department in Hong Kong, established to meet the infrastructure and land development needs of the community. 

The CEDD was formed in July 2004 through the amalgamation of the Civil Engineering Department and the Territory Development Department. Its lineage dates back to the late 19th century, evolving from the former Public Works Department. The department's mission is to provide quality engineering services to support Hong Kong's development, enhance the quality of the living environment, and boost the city's competitiveness.
